      2. Get quotes. Tell us how many quotes you'd like and we'll put you in touch with up to five local service providers, have the right skills and would like to quote.
      3. Choose a service provider. We put you in direct contact so you can discuss the job further and arrange visits. Then choose a tradesperson if you'd like to proceed.

    • What does it cost? We don't charge you anything. Businesses pay us a small fee to receive details for jobs they choose - but in fact working with us means they often spend less on marketing. Back To Top
    • How many quotes can I get? You can get up to five quotes - or fewer if you prefer. And we'll do the chasing up for you: if one tradesperson is busy then we'll find others to quote. Back To Top
    • How do I know when a Service Provider wants to quote? We'll contact you straight away by email (and by mobile SMS if you like). We send you the contact details and in the email you'll find a series of quick links which take you directly to your account. Back To Top
    • How do I get (or stop) SMS messages? If you give us your mobile phone number (in your contact details) we'll automatically text you with contact details for suppliers who want to quote. NB if you'd prefer not to receive text messages you may uncheck the 'please text me' option on the same page. Back To Top
    • What if I change my mind? Please tell us ASAP so that we know to stop contacting service providers. It only takes a few moments: open up the job in your account and then select 'withdraw job'. Back To Top

    • Why can't I just pick a service providers from a list? We put you in direct contact with service providers who have told us they'd like to quote for you.     • How will you find the right provider? In just a few steps we help you put together a brief summary of your job, including the skills you need and helpful detail to include in the description. This helps us get to the right tradesperson first time. We take care to 'qualify' every job to make sure that providers are likely to understand your needs.     • How long does it take to get quotes? We start contacting our local providers right away. As soon as a member tells us they'd like to quote then we send you their contact details and you are free to get in touch. They also receive your contact details and will often call you directly. We aim to get all contacts through within a couple of days although in practice it's often much faster. Back To Top
    • How do I know that I'm getting good value? Every provider has made a simple commitment - to ensure that you get good quality work at a fair price. You'll receive 'like minded' quotes from local service providers who know that strong ratings from you are key to their own success. Back To Top

    • What happens if I accept a referral by Text Alert? All emails, invoices, credits, payments etc. work in exactly the same way as if you'd clicked the 'will quote' option on the website. Back To Top
    • Why am I not getting Text Alerts? Job referral Text Alerts are available to trade members that have submitted payment details. If you have submitted payment details then it may be that you are out of credit, or as a precaution we may have temporarily disabled alerts following several failed attempts to send you a text message.     • How do I top up my Text Alert credits? You can choose to automatically top up job referral Text Alert credits whenever your credit balance reaches zero, or you can top up manually by visiting your Text Alerts page - here you can choose whether to top up with 100 credits, or with larger amounts at a discounted rate.     • What does it cost? We charge a nominal membership fee to cover our administration and service costs and then a small referral fee for each job you tell us you'd like to quote for. As a member you'll receive details for local jobs as they become available, and only pay for the ones you choose.     • How do I pay? Payment is by credit card via our automated billing system which keeps costs to a minimum and gives you a simple, convenient service. We encrypt all sensitive payment details and store them on our secure server. We send you an itemised GST invoice for every payment. Back To Top
    • How do referral fees work? The referral fees vary slightly from job to job dependant on a number of factors which determine the value and quality of the lead to you. You will find that smaller jobs cost less whereas bigger jobs with a higher probability of you getting the work cost slightly more. We constantly review this to ensure the cost of referrals is appropriate to the type of work you do. The price of each referral is clearly stated with the details of each job we send you. Back To Top
    • How do you publicise Get Any Quote? We advertise nationally, in directories, in the press and on-line. In addition, Get Any Quote who have been rated can be picked up by search engines (such as Google) which will give you additional publicity. Back To Top
    • How will you help me grow my business? We attract customers who are looking for the best service providers and who are willing to pay a fair price for good quality work. We help you build a meaningful and valuable reputation in your local area: stronger ratings lead to more work and higher earnings for you.     • How many enquiries will I get? This depends largely on your service. For new members we aim to get you at least one enquiry within a month. As a highly rated member we'll pass you up to three new enquiries every week. Back To Top
    • How can I get more (or fewer) enquiries? If you'd like to receive more (of fewer) job referrals then please check your Skills and Maximum Distance settings - adjusting these will affect the number of referrals we send you. Back To Top
    • How do I know when I've received a new enquiry? When we receive details of work that may be of interest to you we'll send details through by email (and by SMS message if you like - see the SMS FAQs below). Back To Top
    • How do I get a customer's contact details? In each job referral email you'll find a direct link to the job in question. Clicking the link takes you straight into your account - from there you can tell us if you'd like to quote and you'll see the customer contact details immediately. If you have chosen to receive job referral alerts (to your mobile phone, see below) you can also accept a referral by replying with a unique job code and we'll send the customers' contact details straight to your phone.     • Can I choose the work that I want? We'll only send you the type of work you want, within your own local area. But in each case you can still decline to quote. Back To Top
    • What if I'm just too busy? You can always let us know if you are away or just too booked up to receive enquiries for a while - visit your business profile page to let us know and to tell us when you'd like us to start sending you referrals again. Back To Top
    • How do I give a quote? It's up to you: if you like you can use the on-line service to give each customer a price, start date and estimated duration for the work. You may also add further information about the job, such as an itemised work-list. Alternatively you can still give paper-based quotes. However we recommend to our customers that they only accept quotes in writing. Back To Top
    • How many others will be quoting? Two others at the most. We believe this strikes the right balance: the customer can compare a few quotes - and you won't be quoting against the masses. Back To Top
    • How do I get (or stop) mobile text (SMS) messages? If you give us your mobile phone number (in your contact details) we'll automatically send you mobile text messages. NB if you'd prefer not to receive text messages from us you may un-tick the 'please text me' option on your business profile page. Back To Top
    • What do I pay for mobile text messages? We make a nominal charge for job referral Text Alerts (see our Payment Terms for current rates) and you can choose to pre-purchase larger amounts at a discount. All other text messages (e.g. customer contacts details) are free. Visit your What are the benefits of job referral Text Alerts? Whenever you receive a job referral Text Alert, you can accept the referral by replying to the message (each alert has a unique job CODE). Hence you can respond more quickly to the customer and you're more likely to find the job available. And it means that you no longer have to log in via a computer to accept referrals. Back To Top
